HBA 2025 Company Field Trip to NYC

Written By Audrey Hastings

From January 23rd to January 25th, BHP students traveled to New York City for the annual HBA Company Field Trip! It was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow BHP students, explore the city, and network with alumni working in New York.

Introduction

If this blog post convinces you of anything, let it be this: go on at least one HBA CFT trip! Not only did I make lasting connections while exploring the vibrant city of New York, but I also had the chance to visit top companies where networking provided important career insights. This is your sign—don’t miss the opportunity to apply!

Activities

During our time in New York, we explored several exciting spots and tried amazing food. We went to places like Chinatown, where we enjoyed delicious and affordable eats like Mei Lai Wah. We also visited Times Square, Central Park, SoHo, and even saw the infamous big pigeon on the High Line — I was probably the only one excited about this. Some standout food spots included Blank Street, Bagel Market, and Don Antino (photos at the end!).

Company Visits

We were able to visit EY, KeyBanc, PwC, Accenture, and Meta, all of which provided an incredible opportunity to connect with BHP alumni, gain industry insights, and experience the fast-paced energy of New York’s professional world. Each visit offered a unique glimpse into the company’s culture, work environment, and the different career paths available in fields like tax, consulting, and tech. One of the most valuable aspects of the trip was hearing firsthand how alumni navigated their careers and what led them to choose New York. Whether they specialized in strategy consulting, financial services, or technology, their perspectives helped us better understand the realities of different roles and industries. The opportunity to network, ask questions, and receive candid advice made these visits truly worthwhile. And of course, it was super exciting to go on the company tours, engage in great conversations, and were provided with plenty of free food! This trip was an eye-opening experience, and we left feeling even more excited about the possibilities ahead.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I would say this Company Field Trip was one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable experiences I have had in a while, one that not only allowed me to form friendships with other BHP kids, but also to gain knowledge important for my future direction in business. I highly recommend applying next year no matter where the location is (I vouch for Boston or Chicago!!). I promise you won’t regret it!
