UT Microfarm Cleanup
The UT Microfarm is a small farm and community garden run on campus by the Campus Environmental Center with the support of the UT Green Fee and a steady stream of volunteers.
HBA volunteers spent two hours of their Sunday morning cleaning up beds in both the community garden and farming areas of the plot. Although surrounded by bees and coming up against a never-ending sea of weeds, the students enjoyed their time at the Microfarm and the substantial progress they made as part of the cleanup efforts.
Harsha Kethireddipalli, a member of the External Affairs committee who coordinated the project, thinks the outing was a success and hopes that HBA can return to the Microfarm for another weekend project.
