Maplewood Elementary Halloween Carnival

This year's halloween carnival at Maplewood Elementary was a little short-staffed, but HBA volunteers stepped in and kept things moving.

HBA Corporate Relations VP Jiaying Han and Communications Committee member Davis Marsh operated a messy, finicky cotton candy machine to serve throngs of hungry kids. In fact, their cotton candy was such a hit that they ran out of cones, and had to use printer paper to meet the high demand.

"Davis and I probably churned out around 1000 cotton candies," Jiaying said, "but it was totally worth it to see the smile on the children's faces when I would hand them a cotton candy."

The inflatable wrecking ball was another smash-hit manned by our fearless HBA volunteers.
