Academics Committee

HBA Academics aims to foster a strong sense of community between the students, staff and professors who are a part of the Business Honors Program. The committee hosts events such as Dinners/Social Events With a Professor, Texas-Style Homecoming, and Coffee Chats.

Alumni Committee

The Alumni Relations Committee plans events that facilitate interaction between current CBHP students and our enthusiastic, successful alumni. Events include the Alumni Dinner during Company Field Trip, volunteer events, and social events as well as any new concepts to take place virtually throughout the school year. The Alumni Relations Committee also works with the CBHP office to strengthen existing alumni connection programs.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for publicizing HBA meetings and events by designing posters, writing/creating social media posts, sending out weekly newsletters to the BHP community, and taking photos/videos at events. The committee is also in charge of maintaining engagement with the website, blog, and social media platforms throughout the year.

Corporate Committee

The Corporate Relations Committee seeks to expose students to different career paths and industries. The committee coordinates with the corporate sponsors and plans events such as the Company Dinner, company visits, and other corporate events.

External Committee

The External Affairs Committee organizes opportunities for students to engage in community service and partners with a different philanthropy every year. The committee also coordinates activities with other organizations across McCombs and UT.

Financial Committee

The Financial Committee is responsible for non-corporate fundraising and the budgeting of HBA money. Additionally, the committee oversees catering food for general meetings, coordinates meeting supplies and purchases, plans the annual Company Field Trip, and manages the fundraising efforts for HBA’s external philanthropy.

Internal Committee

The Internal Relations Committee helps develop the vision and logistics of the Big-Little Program, stress-relieving events for BHP Students, and a large BHP mentorship community. Junior and senior retention is also a heavy focus in this committee.

Social Committee

The Social Committee seeks to cultivate a strong bond between members of the BHP community across different classes. The committee hosts events that allow students to experience Austin and try out new activities with their peers in addition to planning the All-Honors Formal and organizing Intramural Sports each semester.
