On Thursday, November 1st, a group of students enjoyed dinner with Dr. Thurman, the MAN 336H professor, at one of his favorite restaurants, Italic. Over some burrata and bolognese, the students got to hear about Dr. Thurman’s life before teaching, which included working in campaigns and politics. Today, his peers include a former Chief of Staff and a presidential speech writer! He also talked about his various adventures abroad, including an attempt to recreate the Orient Express’s route from Paris to Istanbul.
